Hi, my name is Jennifer Berg a dedicated esthetician student with a genuine passion for skincare, beauty, and overall wellness. My journey into aesthetics is fueled by a deep desire to help others look and feel their best, starting with the health of their skin. KEY INGREDIENTS FOUND IN GREAT SKIN CARE
AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) are water-soluble acids derived from fruits and
milk that exfoliate the skin by removing dead skin cells, promoting a
smoother, brighter complexion and improving skin texture.
Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs) are oil-soluble exfoliants that penetrate deep
into pores to unclog them, reduce acne, and control excess oil, making them
ideal for oily and acne-prone skin.
Benzoyl peroxide is a powerful antibacterial ingredient used in skincare to
treat acne by killing acne-causing bacteria and reducing inflammation.
Ceramides restore the skin barrier and lock in moisture, preventing dryness. Using products with ceramides (like moisturizers, serums, or cleansers) helps to replenish the skin’s natural lipids, restore the barrier, and lock in hydration. They’re especially beneficial for dry, sensitive, or mature skin, and they pair well with ingredients like hyaluronic acid and niacinamide.
Glycolic Acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that removes dead skin cells for
a smoother, brighter complexion. Glycolic acid works by breaking down the bonds between dead skin cells on the surface, allowing them to shed more easily. This reveals fresher, smoother skin underneath and stimulates collagen production over time.
Retinol is a form of vitamin A that is widely used in skincare for its powerful anti-aging and acne-fighting benefits. It works by increasing skin cell turnover, which helps to stimulates collagen production and speeds up the shedding of dead skin cells, revealing fresher, healthier skin underneath. It can also unclog pores and help regulate oil production.
Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid (BHA) commonly used in skincare to treat acne, clogged pores, and oily skin. Clears acne and prevents future breakouts.

A custom facial is a personalized skincare treatment tailored to your unique skin type, concerns, and goals. It combines cleansing, exfoliation, extractions, masks, and targeted serums to address issues like acne, dryness, sensitivity, or aging. The benefits include deep hydration, clearer pores, improved texture, and a healthier, more radiant complexion. Custom facials support long-term skin health while providing a relaxing, rejuvenating experience
1. Avoid exfoliating for 2–3 days Skip scrubs, acids, or retinoids before your appointment to avoid skin sensitivity.
2. Hold off on harsh treatments Avoid waxing, chemical peels, or tanning (including self-tanner) for at least 48 hours before your facial.
3. Come with clean skin (if possible) If you're not wearing makeup, that's great—but it’s fine if you do. Your esthetician will cleanse your skin as the first step.
4. Know your skincare products Bring a list or photo of what you're using at home. It helps your esthetician tailor treatments and make product recommendations.
5. Skip injectable treatments beforehand Avoid Botox or fillers for at least 5–7 days prior to a facial.
6. Communicate your skin concerns Be honest about your skin history, allergies, and what you hope to achieve (acne clearing, hydration, anti-aging, etc.).
7. Hydrate and relax!
Drink plenty of water the day before and day of your appointment, and come ready to unwind.
